Become a Volunteer at the Women’s Resource Fair!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Women’s Resource Fair. The success of the event depends on the support of our Volunteers.

The Women’s Resource Fair needs Volunteers in half day shifts from 7:00 a.m. through the conclusion of the event. Requests for specific Volunteer assignments will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so register today!

Volunteer Opportunities

Child Care
Interact with and supervise children, provide support to room monitors.

Clean Up
Provide relief for morning Volunteers, assist with clean up/pack up and loading of moving trucks.

Gift Bag Distribution
Assist with assembly of bags, move bags to lunch area, distribute bags and answer questions about contents, crowd control.

Greeters
Welcome Participants, direct Participants to registration tables, assist with crowd control and security.

Information Desk
Direct Providers and Participants, answer questions about the Fair.

Lunch
Assist with setup and distribution of lunch, crowd control.

Parking
Distribute parking fliers to Volunteers and Providers at the Ace parking lot between Ash and A Street and 2nd and 3rd Avenue. This shift starts and ends early.

Registration of Volunteers and Service Providers
Sign-in and welcome Volunteers and Providers, direct to stations.

Medical Registration
Volunteers will help participants complete forms and escort participants to exam area. At least one bilingual (English/Spanish) speaker is needed per medical registration shift.

Registration of Participants
Welcome Participants and assist with filling out registration forms, answer questions about the Fair. Several bilingual (English/Spanish) speakers needed per shift.

Runners
Bring children back and forth between registration and child care area, assist with security of child care area.

Seminar Assistance
Assist seminar speakers with setup, distribution of information, and other tasks.

Spanish Translation
Provide assistance throughout Fair to Spanish-speaking Participants.

Teen Center
Interact and play games with teenage children of Fair Participants, serve as gatekeeper to Teen Center. Young adults or college student volunteers preferred in this role.

Welcome Committee
Ride bus/van to pick up and welcome Participants, help Participants begin registration process, direct women off bus and into Fair. We encourage Volunteers to register in pairs for this assignment, if interested.
